--04/24/22--
a sunday! my day off of work :) i really havent done much with my day since my car's been sick- practically hemorrhaging gas and oil and smoking when i park. so ive been trying not to drive too much bwl. the day has gone by so quickly! it's about 6:30 as im writing this, and i spent most of the day playing the sims 2, while i wait on a package i thought wouldve been here 6 hours ago =.=" but so long as it gets here today, ill be happy. my tooth chipped yesterday, which is stressful, and i need to look into a dentist, but im waiting on my paycheck before i bother. between the tooth and the car i need to watch my spending, but ive at least had a good distraction reading spy x family over the past few nights! its really good, and im enjoying it a lot. EDIT- it isnt coming today and my order is now "pending" so im a bit annoyed! a girl just wants to drink her dam... tea!

my package is not in! it's been hexed by some vile mail beast and is now "pending" with no particular date lined up despite being in my city! my grandma is also coming to live with us for an indeterminate amount of time and our driveway has cracked in 5 places overnight. what a nightmare! on the plus side i got to see my little brother today, and he made a special slice of cake for me :) so that was nice. his art is looking really good these days, im proud of him

THE PACKAGE... HAS ARRIVED finally i get my hazelnut cream tea once again :) im still a bit stressed about my grandma coming in, but my tea is here AND i made a pillow for my brother! hand sewn, and i even added a zipper to it! first time ive done something like that!
heres the pillow-
its a yards worth of fabric and 4 yards of stuffing. i got $10 off with a coupon ^^ these pillows are a bit pricey but i like to make gifts for people, so its worth it.

a largely uneventful day- my grandma is here now so thats stressful, but hopefully her being here wont take too long to settle into. i did a cookie decorating demonstration today for an audience, and had a surprisingly good time with it! even then, though, ill still be happy to not have to do it again. im thinking about sewing a skirt out of plush fabric- or just a skirt in general. i did one recently, but it came out awkward, so i'd like to try again soon

lol made the skirt. im 0 for 2 on making these things without some weird hitch- i messed up the waistband and im not sure how to fix it. but it's definitely nicer looking than the first one overall, and now i might know how to actually fix the first one, too. so if i have the patience i might do that soon! otherwise an uneventful day, which im happy for

i went ahead and fiddled with the first skirt i made, to try and fix the front panel. it looks weird, but it's definitely much better than it was before. waistband is too big, sadly, but ill take what i can get!
my brother got his pillow today, and he really enjoyed it. he gave me a pen he got from school in return, and it's very nice. he also met my granny today! it was very stressful, but he didnt say anything crazy, so that was nice. im wondering what to get him for his birthday next month, so i told him to think about it. hes been really into little nightmares 2, so im hoping to connect with him on that level. maybe we can watch coraline together, or something. if anyone is reading this, i hope youre well :)

i dont really have an update today! it was a quiet day and i just ate dinner. i DO want to share with anyone reading though, if you ever come across this ramen-
you should absolutely grab it. the flavor on its own is pretty bland, i will admit, but i added some garlic, onion, and curry powder, along with some chicken bouillon and and hot sesame oil. its SO good, my second favorite flavor aside from the roast beef flavor of the same brand. alright thats all have a good weekend bwl

ive been soooo nostalgic for splatoon 1 today, and im not sure why! maybe its because im so excited for splatoon 3, but ive been watching over old footage and playing splat2 all day ^^ splatoon 1 came out when my brother was 3 and hes liked it for the past 7 years, its been fun to see his enjoyment of it evolve as he ages. got some fabric today, and im going to try sewing a tiny plush.

my grandma is leaving soon- sometime before the 7th- and i cant wait. i love her to death but with her and everyone visiting, i just want the house to myself for a little while. i spent the whole day with her today, though, and we watched roughly 8 hours of various gameshows while on our computers. so that wasnt too bad. looking forward to just being able to relax, though

ill have some time to myself again by tomorrow, thankfully. not much has been going on the past few days, which i why i havent been writing anything every day. ive been doing that dracula daily thing, and im enjoying that. its making me crave grits, which is interesting, and ive been on something of a catgirl binge. also i sewed a mogus

woooo sweet solitude! finally, a break from All Of This. ive been getting curious about elden ring, but as someone whose most recent console aside from a switch is an xbox 360, i wont be playing that anytime soon. maybe i can check it out when i visit my girlfriend in a few weeks, but its not like im desperate to play it- i wouldnt be very good at it anyways im sure bwl! im going to have a busy day tomorrow, which im not looking forward to, but at least ill be able to come home to a peaceful house after.

hiiii :) im feeling good today! had a burger, got a candle and a new shirt from FYE. i went to hot topic but the selection left me disappointed. i miss what it was like in the earlier 2000s, and i know that's partially nostalgia but it was also definitely for a different demographic back then.
i tried to watch a little bit of american psycho last night, but i got too anxious after about 40 minutes and bailed on it. maybe ill try again another time. ive been thinking about re-installing DUSK but i feel like whenever i install a game that big im making my computer sick :( so well see

i got to go home early from work today. fucking win. i re-installed dusk but have yet to start it up, as ive been obsessing over splatoon lately. i've also got an itch to play mad father, but i think i'd prefer to play the original over the remake. i think story-wise, my favorite of that rpgmaker horror trilogy is ib, but mad father has my favorite characters. ive splurged a bit too much lately, but i think i'll make myself another skirt sooner or later.
