its been a bit rough today. i went ahead and uninstalled dusk without opening it a single time. im not sure why im in such a slump, but i hope it ends soon. i ate some chalupas for lunch today, so that was at least nice. im enjoying rediscovering my love for aerospray in splatoon, at least. hope everyone is well.

today is my girlfriends birthday, and the package i ordered for her came in today! i also grabbed her some stuff for when i come out there, and im looking forward to seeing her. feeling decidedly more normal today, and i got to see my dad and brother, which is a win/win. my brother asked if we could paint our nails, so ill be maybe looking into getting a color he likes :) i played a lot of tetris yesterday, which was fun even if it was a bit frustrating.

ive had a decent amount of time off work this week and had sort of forgotten how awful customers are. but they reminded me today like it was a mission! just some real pieces of work.
anyways ive been thinking about how crazy it is that there isn't a single instance of normal tetris on the nintendo switch. theres tetris 99, which sucks if youre just looking to pay tetris, and theres some tetris connect thing? which idk what it is but like hell im paying 40USD for TETRIS. like dont get me wrong i love it. but bro it is tetris.
i tried some indomie onion chicken ramen tonight as well. it was pretty good- flat on its own but adding a little more chicken and onion made it really good. hoping to go out to dinner with my dad and brother sometime in the next week since we are all leaving for trips soon.

im addicted to playing dicearoo on neopets :/ also i found a website to get fabric from and impulsively bought 6 yards of fabric. sothat's where we are now. its hot out here!!! i really do hate summer, but it still happens every year =.=

our power went out for like 12 hours last night, but luckily it was through the night rather than during the day. we had a stint a few years ago where our power was out for almost 3 days in the middle of summer, and it was a nightmare. i had some mashed potatoes and gravy for dinner, and made a third skirt. somehow it went from being too small around to being way too big at the waist? im not really sure what happened there, but its really obnoxious. 0 for 3 :/

going on a little rant about animal crossing new horizons today, for lack of life updates!
-new horizons really holds a lot of potential, but falls so flat in its execution. i feel like this is something that began with new leaf making you mayor, but it feels like this game really hammered home the lack of connection with the community of the island, which is what animal crossing is supposed to be about. rather than being part of the community you're in charge of it, detached from it in a way, and it really comes across as more of a dollhouse simulator than a game about bonding with neighbors.
-while it made a lot of fun new leaps and bounds in customization, and i understand the "island representative" role is simply made to facilitate why youre allowed to make those customizations, there are a lot of weird drawbacks they added in. tool decay, for one. this isnt a major issue, but it feels like an unnecessary addition nobody was asking for. effectively locking community made designs behind a paywall, also its weird how you cant expand rooms in your house? regardless. while its a super customizable experience, the way villagers interact with you, seeming shocked if you talk to them more than twice a day, feels antiethical to what animal crossing is supposed to be about. also i personally miss when they were mean cunts to you.

health food stores are so fucked up its insane. i got some drinks and snacks from a health place near me last night and 99% of it was not good, sadly. i got a nice bottle of sparkling water though, which im enjoying right now. ive been playing mario party advance for hours after getting it again last night, and i bought some dvds from redbox- last night in soho and escape room tournament of champions. i know i liked last night in soho, and im curious about escape room!

set up a little chair and desk in my room so i have a spot to comfortably use my computer in there! or, that was the idea, at least. the desk is a bit shit and flimsy so it shakes horribly whenever i type, but its a temp fix so hopefully ill have something better soon. aside from that, though, i havent been up to much- my fabric came in today, and it looks great, but i wont be using it until after my trip. yall stay well ^^

ill be with my girlfriend tomorrow morning :) i wont be able to update this page while im there, so you all stay well! i had a decent day at work, and tried to play a little of my sims agent, but the endless tutorial was driving me a bit crazy. kind of like pokemon sm/usum and its unskippable hour long tutorial, which is the main thing that keeps me from playing those games over again.
i booted up my new leaf town for the first time in what turned out to be two years, which made me feel a little bad, but i dont know that it will be something i get back into... most of my favorite villagers are gone anyways :(

hiiiii hi hiii. i just got back home and settled back in! i really didnt want to leave my girlfriends house, and i miss her already :( but if there's one thing i did miss, its the taste of the tapwater back home. currently sipping a cold bottle of water that i specificially put in the fridge for when i got back home, and enjoying it. hope you all have had a decent enough week!

im not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow =.=' i knew it had to happen but turning my alarms back on was a sad occasion. on the bright side, however, i started playing brain age again (for some reason it hates how i draw my 4s though?) AND i picked up style savvy for the first time, which is REALLY fun. i was never into girly things growing up, but i really enjoy getting to dress people up so. this works for me! i even drew my character in mspaint-
im having fun doing a lot of mixing blacks and pinks in this game.

i need to get an SD card with more storage for my 2ds =.= 4GB just isn't cutting it these days. i wanted to download the other style savvy games but i dont have the room! aside from that, i went back to work today, which was annoying. im considering making a quilt, and im going to see my brother on friday :) for some reason ive been thinking a lot about gyaru fashion lately, and trying to find sites for it on here. ive found a few but the ones ive found dont seem to have much on them... sad :/ but i will keep looking!

i went ahead and got the SD card, its working perfectly! fucking win! aside from that, i didnt do too much today. ended up impulse buying a squishmallows stingray not once but twice today, and bought some lime juice as well. im gonna try to make a lime pound cake sooner or later. aside from that, all is well, i keep having dreams where im about to try a food or drink that i really want and wake up right before i can- last night it was a deep pink soda called "virginial soda" that kept being barred to me because i was only allowed to get a "good soda" with the only distinction i could see being that the "good" soda was in a glass bottle rather than a can. maybe one day ill get to try it V.V

im beginning to highly doubt the stuff i ordered for my brothers birthday is going to be in in time- i havent even gotten confirmation that its shipped, just that my "order has been confirmed". thanks website that means nothing to me!
aside from that im just hanging out. been trying some nail painting techniques, bought a clear top coat which im enjoying. i wanna sew something soon- the quilt seems a bit much for right now- but im not sure where to go from here. ive stalled out a bit, due to my skill level not being able to match my ideas, even when i know it never will unless i actually /do/ something. sad! well see where to go from here, i guess.

im 0 for 2 on trying to make my own mayonnaise at home :( i dont know what im doing wrong, but it never thickens up, even when i follow the recipe exactly! its a real bummer... aside from that, though, my day has been good. i went to the mall, got some more nail polishes and a mouse pad. did a discord call with my girlfriend which was nice :) i really wish my package would come in already, but hopefully my brother wont mind it being late. i played some cooking mama today as well, which was fun, and ive been watching a psychonauts playthrough. i own the game myself, but ive been having trouble playing games with longer narratives consistently.

my brothers birthday- the big entry into the double digits! fucked up! BUT it was fun. he did some kind of gamer cafe this afternoon, then had a family-and-friends dinner at a sushi place. hes still only really into raw tuna, but hes been good at trying new things lately :) his gifts havent come in, but after dinner we hung out, painted our nails, and watched lego batman. it was really fun, and i was happy to see him enjoying it.
